California Proposition 65 Warning

In compliance with California’s Proposition 65 (Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986),
Genuine Materials Inc. provides the following notice to our customers, partners, and fabrication professionals:

 

 

 

⚠️ WARNING:
Some products sold by Genuine Materials Inc. may contain ingredients including crystalline silica (SiO₂),
which are known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm.
Cutting, drilling, or processing these materials may generate respirable crystalline silica dust.

 

Health and Safety Advisory

Exposure to respirable crystalline silica dust may occur when fabricating or installing certain stone- or quartz-based materials.
To protect the health and safety of all workers, Genuine Materials Inc. strongly recommends that all fabrication and installation activities be conducted with proper safety measures in place.

 

Recommended safety practices include:

• Always use wet cutting, grinding, or polishing methods to reduce airborne dust.

• Maintain adequate ventilation and local exhaust systems in fabrication areas.

• Wear NIOSH-approved respirators and personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Provide regular training and health monitoring for employees handling stone or engineered materials.

• Follow all applicable safety standards under Cal/OSHA and Federal OSHA 29 CFR 1926.1153 (Respirable Crystalline Silica Rule).

Please note that some materials offered by Genuine Materials Inc. may contain crystalline silica or other regulated substances.
By purchasing or processing these materials, the buyer and/or fabricator acknowledges their responsibility to
implement proper safety controls, worker protection, and compliance procedures as required by law.
