- 3296 | Genuine Materials
32" x 96" 12mm Porcelain Panel | Made in USA 3296 | A Versatile Standard-Format Surface Solution 3296 is one of our most versatile standard-format slab products, sized at 32" × 96" with a thickness of 12mm. This format strikes an ideal balance between design expression, installation practicality, and commercial efficiency, making it a highly practical choice for both residential and commercial applications. In terms of application, 3296 offers exceptional flexibility. It is well suited for countertops, wall cladding, and flooring, while also performing seamlessly across both interior and exterior spaces. Its carefully considered proportions allow it to efficiently cover standard 60" × 30" shower enclosures or tub surrounds, delivering a clean, modern, and consistent visual result without the need for complex cutting or excessive fabrication. For wall and bathroom installations, planning layouts in four-piece configurations significantly reduces the number of joints and grout lines. This approach enhances visual continuity and overall spatial cohesion, while also simplifying installation and minimizing long-term cleaning and maintenance requirements. Beyond interior applications, 3296 is equally effective in outdoor environments. The format is ideal for patio furniture, BBQ outdoor kitchen countertops, and vertical cladding, allowing indoor and outdoor spaces to share a cohesive material palette and consistent design language—an increasingly important element in contemporary architectural and residential design. Compared to oversized porcelain slabs, 3296 is easier to transport, handle, and fabricate, helping reduce breakage risk and on-site complexity. At the same time, it delivers a stronger sense of scale and design continuity than traditional small-format materials. As a result, 3296 is well suited not only for individual projects, but also for showroom displays and repeat, multi-unit applications. It is a high-utility format that balances design impact, installation efficiency, and inventory turnover. 3296 is designed in Italy and manufactured in the United States by Florim, ensuring a high level of aesthetic refinement, manufacturing consistency, supply reliability, and compliance with North American standards. This makes it an excellent choice for long-term, scalable, and standardized project application. 4-Piece Shower Kit The 3296 4-Piece Shower Kit is a pre-configured solution designed to simplify shower wall installations while delivering a clean, modern large-format appearance. Each kit includes four 32" × 96" slabs (12mm thick), optimized to efficiently cover a standard 60" × 30" shower enclosure or tub surround. By utilizing a four-slab layout, the system significantly reduces the number of grout lines compared to traditional tile installations, resulting in a more seamless visual flow and a refined architectural look. This configuration also streamlines planning and installation, helping minimize fabrication complexity while improving long-term durability and ease of maintenance. The 12mm thickness provides the visual presence of large-format porcelain at a more practical scale, offering a cost-effective alternative to full-size slabs for shower applications. Designed in Italy and manufactured in the United States by Florim, the 3296 4-Piece Shower Kit combines design sophistication, installation efficiency, and dependable supply—making it an ideal solution for both residential and commercial bathroom projects. - Fabrication Safety Guide | Genuine Materials
SAFE FABRICATION & HANDLING GUIDE Comprehensive Safety Guidelines for Fabricators and Installers Guía Integral de Seguridad para Fabricadores e Instaladores INTRODUCTION / INTRODUCCIÓN Genuine Materials Inc. is committed to promoting the health and safety of all fabricators, installers, and partners who work with our surface materials — including porcelain, sintered stone, terrazzo, hybrid slabs, and engineered materials. While many of our products are designed to be zero-silica or low-silica, improper cutting, grinding, or dry handling of any surface material can still produce airborne dust that may be harmful if inhaled. This guide summarizes best practices for safe fabrication and installation, following recommendations from OSHA, Cal/OSHA, NIOSH, and other global occupational safety authorities. Every shop, warehouse, and job site should adopt these principles to ensure the long-term health of all workers. 1. WORKPLACE SETUP / CONFIGURACIÓN DEL LUGAR DE TRABAJO Perform all cutting, drilling, and grinding operations outdoors or in a well-ventilated area equipped with mechanical exhaust or HEPA filtration. Always use wet methods (wet saws, water-fed polishers, misting attachments) to reduce dust release. Avoid dry cutting or dry polishing entirely. Install local exhaust ventilation (LEV) systems with dust shrouds and hoses directly connected to HEPA vacuums. Maintain air monitoring records to verify exposure levels are below OSHA’s permissible exposure limit (PEL) for respirable crystalline silica (50 µg/m³ over 8 hours). Keep dust-producing areas isolated from office or storage zones. Display warning signs: “Respirable Dust Area — Authorized Personnel Only.” PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE) / EQUIPO DE PROTECCIÓN PERSONAL Wear a NIOSH-approved respirator rated for silica dust (minimum N95, preferably P100). Facial hair must not interfere with respirator seals. Use tight-fitting safety goggles or full-face shields to prevent eye injuries. Wear cut-resistant gloves, long-sleeved shirts, and heavy-duty work pants to protect against lacerations. Use steel-toe boots with non-slip soles to prevent crushing injuries. For prolonged machine use, wear ear protection (earmuffs or earplugs). Train workers in correct donning, fitting, and maintenance of PPE. Replace filters regularly. 3. WET CUTTING & DUST CONTROL / CORTE HÚMEDO Y CONTROL DE POLVO Use continuous water flow directed at the point of contact between blade and material. Keep water pressure sufficient to suppress dust but not so high that it splashes contaminated slurry. Capture runoff with settling basins or filters to prevent drain contamination. Inspect water nozzles daily to ensure they are not clogged. Never recirculate water without proper filtration to remove fine particulates. Provide regular maintenance for pumps and hoses to prevent leaks or failures. 4. HANDLING & TRANSPORT / MANEJO Y TRANSPORTE Use mechanical aids such as slab carts, cranes, or forklifts with proper lifting attachments. Always move slabs in vertical orientation using A-frames and ratchet straps. Inspect lifting clamps, slings, and vacuum lifters before each use. Never lift a slab by hand if it exceeds 80 lbs (36 kg) per person. Store slabs securely on level ground to prevent tipping. Keep walkways clear of debris and water to avoid slipping. Never ride on equipment or stand under suspended loads. 5. CLEAN-UP & WASTE DISPOSAL / LIMPIEZA Y ELIMINACIÓN DE RESIDUOS Collect all slurry, sludge, and dust residues using wet methods or HEPA-filtered vacuums. Never dry sweep, blow off, or use compressed air to clean dust. Dispose of all waste water and sludge according to local environmental regulations. Keep clean work areas, changing rooms, and designated “clean zones” for eating or breaks. Wash hands and face thoroughly before drinking, smoking, or eating. Provide showers or washing stations for workers after shifts. 6. HEALTH MONITORING & TRAINING / VIGILANCIA MÉDICA Y CAPACITACIÓN Employers should implement medical surveillance for workers exposed to respirable dust. Conduct periodic lung function tests (spirometry) and chest imaging per OSHA §1910.1053. Train employees annually on silica hazards, PPE use, emergency procedures, and housekeeping. Maintain written exposure control plans (ECP) and make them accessible to workers. Report all respiratory symptoms immediately to supervisors. 7. DISCLAIMER / DESCARGO DE RESPONSABILIDAD These guidelines are provided for educational purposes and represent general good practices recognized by occupational safety agencies. They do not replace official laws or specific manufacturer instructions. Employers and fabricators must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations, including OSHA and Cal/OSHA standards.
