The option to repair or replace the material is at the sole discretion of Genuine Materials Inc. Please be informed that our material color or design may vary from our website photos or samples. The GMI customer is responsible to do a visual inspection of all materials at the time of pick up or delivery. Our warranty will not cover: Chips around the edges Surface scratches (highly scratch resistant but not scratch proof) Polish marks Color variances (matching) The customer is responsible to do a visual inspection of the material at the time of pick up or delivery, and again prior to fabrication (if matching is needed). GMI will not cover improper installation or fabrication of material by an installer / fabricator. While many of our products are designed to be zero-silica or low-silica, improper cutting, grinding, or dry handling of any surface material can still produce airborne dust that may be harmful if inhaled. This guide summarizes best practices for safe fabrication and installation, following recommendations from OSHA, Cal/OSHA, NIOSH, and other global occupational safety authorities. Every shop, warehouse, and job site should adopt these principles to ensure the long-term health of all workers. Never lift a slab by hand if it exceeds 80 lbs (36 kg) per person. Store slabs securely on level ground to prevent tipping. Keep walkways clear of debris and water to avoid slipping.
